At a special event held in the Visual Learning Lab on Jubilee Campus on Tuesday 13th October 2009 the VLL launched an exciting new report entitled 'A Showcase of Innovations in Visual Learning'. This highly visual publication presents insights into a wide range of innovations in higher education teaching and learning, which have arisen from the VLL working in partnership with Schools throughout the University of Nottingham and beyond.

The VLL is this year supporting The Big Draw event, 'Body Sun Sand and Sea'. This is a national campaign for drawing and has one aim: to get everyone drawing! Drawing helps us to think, invent and communicate – regardless of age and ability.

(more)A VLL project in the School of Molecular Medical Sciences has enabled easy access, simple capture of audio and video media to support teaching developments. The project, presented by Paddy Tighe at a recent e-Learning Community event, is now being investigated as the basis for further podcasting across the University.
